December Bullet Journal Set Up

For December, I wanted more of a visual monthly layout so made a box calendar, every square being 3×7. I used the Tombow Fudenosuke pen to do the title, the black Muji gel pen in the size 0.38 and the thin end of the grey Zebra Mildliner to add the dates in each box. Doing the numbers 4-8 wrong upset me, but I just decided to leave it, everyone makes mistakes, and it doesn’t take anything away from the spread.

After the monthly log, I added a task list, split down the middle for more space. I used the same Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen to make the title. I’m not sure how much I’ll use this page, as I use the MiminaList app for all of my to-do lists, but we’ll see how it goes. I think I wasn’t using the app too much when I set up the spread, but started again this week, so it was a good idea when I made it. At least I’ll know that I don’t need to include it in other months’ set up if it doesn’t work out.

Finally I have a blog post ideas page,  which I once again made with the Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen and a line down the middle. This will be the last time I’ll be including this page in my monthly set up because it has a dedicated page in the beginning of my new bullet journal, which I won’t be starting in January, but already have set up, and I’ll make a post about it near the end of the year.

November Set-Up 2018

In October, I didn’t use my bullet journal much. It happens constantly. I add too many trackers and things to update regularly that as soon as I forget to fill them in a couple days in a row, I lose all interest in using the system, inevitably making me less productive.

With that in mind, I decided to completely strip back my set up. I got rid of all trackers, and anything I didn’t feel was effective, which was literally everything. I decided I was going to focus on the content of my pages, rather than how they looked. I opted for a three-colour theme of autumnal colours, so I didn’t get overwhelmed by making it look good and artistic, etc…

These are the only spreads I have this month. It’s very simplistic, which I’m hoping will help increase my productivity and how often I use my bullet journal. For 2019, I’m debating whether or not to get just a regular planner, so I don’t have to make all of the spreads myself, which does take a lot of time I don’t really have right now, and definitely won’t next year, as we get to exam season.
